4Great beginner set for Chinese Chess  Feb 08, 2008

I have to say that I really like this game. I've been playing western chess for years, but I have been fascinated with other variants of it. My friends were getting sick of me winning in chess, but because we're completely new to this version, it puts us on an equal field. This variant is similar enough to western chess to get playing quickly, though the differences will sure keep things interesting. I personally find the symbols for Chinese Chess easier for me to recognize than the symbols on the pieces for Shogi. Overall, the product is great as a beginner set. It is portable yet fully wooden.
